I would LOVE to share with you: Caran D'Ache cake gouache! (sorry about the vendor link, the link to the Caran D'Ache page is wonky)
It's the most premium and convenient gouache I've ever seen. Water-based, super-pigmented color, highly opaque, stretches/thins well, in convenient dry cakes... comes with a wet tube of white for mixing. I learned of this on the artist's retreat I attended at Cavallo Point, San Francisco (I won from your contest last year!)
Just passing along a good thing. Thanks Dani!

hi Dani
thanks for this post. i use a few of the tools you mention here.
i particular like the blue col-erase pencil. very easy to get rid of the line in Photoshop.
Love the Hunt 102 but another nib i can recommend is Hunt No.22.

Recently i came across these tombow pencils
called Tombow Mono 100 Professional Drawing Pencils
http://ecofugal.blogspot.com/2009/06/tombow-mono-100-professional-drawing.html
I have heard good things about them

cheers

Great List, dude!!! Unfortunatly here in Brazil is difficult or expensive to buy some of this material, but sometimes I could spend some money with good material. Some good and great illustrations here used this kind the material, for me it isn't normal to get it, but when I could work only with Illustration I'll probably give the same kind of material...I hope in a close future! hehe Thx a lot to share your experience!

Love the list! Makes me wish I had room to do traditional media in my tiny apt. I miss oils so much.

Not only is the Turpenoid Natural have less odor, but its SO much better for your brushes. Turpentine/mineral spirits really dry out your brushes and makes them brittle.

Dani -
Thanks for this post. I found it encouraging. I began a "teaching" blog nearly a year ago, and sometimes I wonder why I do it. Thanks for the reminder. And thanks for your blog! I enjoy it very much.

Excellent blog post, Dani. Truly great advice for those that are/have struggled to make the leap in doing something. The way I see it, your post here illustrates a map towards success.

Hey there,

A great one for PC is called Camtasia. You do have to pay for it though. Not sure of freeware.
