The Kids’ Comics Revolution podcast are holding their own awards at the Kids Read Comics convention in Ann Arbor, Michigan next month (which I will be attending, BTW). I was honored to find out yesterday that my webcomic My Sister the Freak has been nominated for Favorite Webcomic!

Here’s the info you need to know:

Voting is open to kids only. You can vote online or by mail. You can also pick up a ballot in person at the Toronto Comics Arts Festival or at Kids Read Comics. Winners will be announced June 23 at the KRC convention.

PLEASE VOTE HERE!

My fellow nominees are all awesome webcomics in their own right, and I’m flattered to be included among them. They are:

Please take a moment to vote if you can and show appreciation to your favorite comics creators, even if you’re not voting for me! Many of these people are some of the hardest working, most dedicated people I know and they deserve the recognition!

See you at Kids Read Comics!

New My Sister the Freak Digital Edition

For those of you who may not follow my webcomic My Sister the Freak (or maybe you do and in that case you are AWESOME), I just wanted to let you know that I just finished the first chapter of the second book. You can read it all right now, along with the entire first book, over on the comic site mysisterthefreak.com.

You can now download Chapter 1 as a PDF for convenient reading on your tablet device or computer. For the first week (until Nov 20) you can get it for 50% off. Grab it here.

My Sister the Freak Volume 2

I have started updating my webcomic My Sister the Freak again at mysisterthefreak.com. It’s a whole new story and book. I took the opportunity to improve and streamline some things, so you might notice some changes compared to the first volume. I’m really enjoying where this is headed in terms of both the story and art.

In case you haven’t read MSTF yet, it is an all-ages sci-fi story about two sisters learning to deal with life, family, and alien invaders. You can read the entire first volume, and the currently posting second volume, online for FREE at mysisterthefreak.com. You can also buy print and digital copies of the first volume over in my store. You can download the first chapter in digital PDF format for FREE.

Above are the first three pages, and you can keep up with the rest over on the MSTF website. I’m now updating TWICE A WEEK on TUESDAYS and FRIDAYS. Let me know how you like it!

What is My Sister, the Freak?

In case you don’t know, My Sister, the Freak is my ongoing webcomic and it updates with a new page every Saturday. You can read it for free at mysisterthefreak.com. If you haven’t read my webcomic or are behind a few weeks, these digital editions are a nice handy way to catch up. I’ll be starting up Chapter 4 (the last chapter for this particular story) very soon, so this is an ideal time to read the previous issues. :)
