Pumpkins!

This past Saturday, I went to the Pumpkin Festival in Keene, NH. There were pumpkins everywhere (about 25,000 of them)! Here’s a little sketch I made. My sister drew the mouse. :)

Making of the Witch

I’ve decided to try something new. I used some cool software to record my screen while I was painting. I liked how it turned out and thought I would share it. Let me know what you think.

Update: Some answers to frequently asked questions…

What software did you use to make the video?
SnapZ Pro X (Mac OS X), with edits made in Quicktime Pro

What brushes did you use?
– Most of the brushes I use are from Photoshop’s “Natural Brushes” set. I don’t modify them very much, but I usually apply my own texture to them.

How did you create the drawing?
– It was created by drawing over a scanned sketch in Photoshop. It sits on a separate layer above the rest of the painting.

Quiet

This is a personal piece I recently finished. It’s inspired by my sister. She loves to read and her room is full of books.

Here’s also the original sketch and a value study.
