    Hi Dani,

Excellent video! Love your work, and I really like your workflow and technique. I just got into illustration and am working on my first childrens book right now. Videos like these have been such a huge help. I have found that while these sorts of videos haven’t changed my overall style, they have provided great ideas for technique and improving workflow (which was the single greatest obstacle in starting up, I spent literally months going between illustrator, painter and photoshop before settling on photoshop because I felt that I was more productive with PS and it provided a more natural flow.)

One suggestion… have you ever thought of narrating a video to give us newbies a little more insight into your process?

    All the best

I’m rather video challenged. This is something I’d like to learn to do to show clients the progress of work. How would I go about “duplicating” something similar. Perhaps, just a point in the right direction? Do I need a special program that records as you draw? Can something like that be done in Illustrator? I have CS3 for both.

TCA, I have previously written a tutorial here: http://danidraws.com/2007/05/25/record-your-art/

In short, I use iShowU to record my videos. It can be used to record your screen while you are using any program.
