    The True Meaning of Smekday

The True Meaning of Smekday Just because I couldn’t stop laughing when I watched this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxkjIjxa2-Q. And Adam Rex is an amazing illustrator.

    Surf's Up

Surf’s Up A great movie, and not as popular as some of the bigger names and sequels out there. Support the artists and creators who made the film and buy it already! If we did, perhaps there would be one less Shrek out in the world.

Just for Giggles

    USB Fridge

USB Fridge Good for freelancers who work late nights, and need a Coke.

Not in Santa’s budget, but I can still dream.

oh forget the cintiq and iphone, I am strangely atttracted to that USB Fridge!!!

On my list, I could really use some sort of backup system/harddrive and a fancy printer to make prints of my work.

All of these things are great, but all I really want is a new room in my house so that I can have an actual studio instead of having all my art/computer gear flung across my living room

  3. Hudey says:

I need a big corner L-desk with lots of surface area, a big lateral file cabinet, and some kind of network-attached storage device so it doesn’t matter if I work on my desktop or my laptop, I still use the same files stored in the same place!

Well, I’ve got most of what I want for Christmas. I’m getting the Nintendo DS Lite this holiday season to use it as a digital sketchbook. That’s right, a digital sketchbook. I found a link from this site to the following blog. http://www.linesandcolors.com/2007/11/26/colors-and-inchworm-digital-painting-applications-for-nintendo-ds/ That will get you started on a whole new way of creating your art. The Nintendo DS Lite has a touch sensitive screen that you can use a stylus on much like the Wacom Cintiq 12WX. Just a whole lot less expensive. $130. I’ve got the Datel Games ‘n Music DS ($19.99 @ Wal-mart) to install the program onto the DS Lite. The aforementioned site has links to all the info you’ll need to get this up and running on the DS Lite. Oh btw, the program’s name is “Colors! v1.06″ It won’t replace Photoshop or Painter but, for a small portable painting station you take nearly take anywhere it’s pretty good. If only Nintendo would make the screens a little larger and pump up the rez that would be nice.
