Dani’s Videos #13: Monster Portrait

This was a little Photoshop painting experiment where I tried to use as many layer tricks as possible. In the split-screen view, you will see my painting on one side and a close-up of the Layers palette in the other. See if you can spot all of the effects/tools/shortcuts that I use.

Thank you for shedding some light on this for me. Sorry for the lack of clarity in my last post. I was little kinda tired and a little sleepy. Someday soon I’d like to see an art book full of your work.
Great that you are back, and continue to inspire us !
I really like your clear and consistent style, and thank you for your efforts !
Hi Dani-
Thanks for the great website. I love your stuff. You can switch layer blending modes using Shift + or – (when you’re on something other than a brush). If you’re on a brush, it switches the brush blending mode. You may have been not using the shortcut so it would be clear what you were doing in the video, in which case I apologize. Other than Overlay or Multiply, I don’t ever know what a particular mode will look like so I just step through them using those shortcut keys.
Thanks again for your inspiration!
