This is a piece I did a while back in school as a Photoshop experiment. I did it before the movie and everything came out. I didn’t really like the way it turned out the first time, but for this week’s Illustration Friday theme, I have decided to take it out of my vault and take a stab at fixing it. It’s a little bit better than before, I think. So… here it is for all of you to see!
Here’s the original sketch…

I like the before AND after. Very nice.
Good versus evil ! The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, excellent choice for opposites ! I luv it !

P.S. I still own the vhs tape of this original cartoon by the Children’s Television Workshop. Back in 1985 !

Awesome, wonderful illo.
Great illo! I love the way the lion looks mighty p*ssed off, while still managing to be strong and proud :)
I love it!
i think it works. love the contrast between the hair, the black and golden brown together are really luminous. very striking image!
There is nothing like a beautiful, wicked queen. I love them. I was fascinated by the Evil Queen in Snow White as a child. You have done a wonderful job here with the lines: flowing and seductive.
this is great… love the expressions on both.

Graet drawing ….. Love the chin you have given the lion.
