I was not one of those girls who drew up drawing horses. As a result, they are now probably my least favorite animal to draw. They are just so hard for me to do. And alas… my latest assignment features a horse as its prominent character. Here are some sketches I have done to prepare. I think I am getting better, but I still can’t draw a single pose without breaking into a terrible sweat and getting an awful headache.

I grew up drawing every animal and when I would draw a horse I always gave them knobby knees, that would be my fav about your sketches…
The mane and tail are great to, they show a sense of arrogance and dignity in the horses persona.
